Welcome to the Schools of Isolated and Distance Education (Secondary) School Years 8 - 12, Leederville. The Schools of Isolated and Distance Education is the centre of distance and online learning within the Department of Education. The Leederville campus of SIDE provides quality education for students who for various reasons cannot attend classes in a regular school.

Founded in 1918, the Schools of Isolated and Distance Education (SIDE) has a rich history of student success and achievement for the students studying distance education particularly in the Secondary School. This tradition continues with a firm commitment to the achievement of personal best and excellence in all aspects of school life in distance education.

At the SIDE Secondary School, it is our expectation that all students will undertake further education, training or employment after Year 12. Importantly, we are committed to the provision of learning programs that cater for all post-school destinations, including University, TAFE, private providers and employment.
